CANCELLED: Homecoming 2020

Dear Alumni,

The Coronavirus is currently keeping the world on tenterhooks. As the ongoing hazard has made it unsafe to gather in large group, several event organizers have been cancelling or postponing large gatherings.

We also have to adapt to the given circumstances. To help prevent the spread of the virus, we have no choice but to unfortunately cancel the 2020 Homecoming Event. We can't imagine how we could all celebrate together without putting someone at risk.

The Alumni Board also decided not to postpone the event to a later date in 2020. The next Homecoming will take place in 2021. This is not a decision we have taken lightly. But the well-being and safety of our alumni community, HHL and HHLAA staff, friends, families and external supporters is of the utmost importance.

Please note, our annual General Meeting will take place on 5th September 2020. We are currently analysing how a virtual annual general meeting instead of a face-to-face event in Leipzig is technically feasible and legally permissible, i.e. in line with the provisions of the new Coronavirus emergency legislation. We will keep you updated.
