India is today one of the fastest growing economies of the world, and a hub for opportunities for businesses and investments. Government of India’s national program “MAKE IN INDIA” aims to provide an open and welcoming business environment to make India a global destination for manufacturing. “Improving the ease of doing business” is one of the key pillars of this initiative. This vision was shared by the Prime Minister of India H.E. Shri Narendra Modi during his visit to Germany in April 2015, where he presented the “Make in India” Initiative before the industry leaders and German companies. All round efforts are needed to fully realize the true potential of the Indo-German business partnership.

Moving ahead in that direction, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and Embassy of India, Berlin, are jointly organizing the “India Business Day at HHL” on February 17, 2016 at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Leipzig.

The event will provide you an insight into the opportunities and challenges for German companies for doing business in India. Participants will also learn about the Investment Facilitation Program “Make in India Mittelstand!” (MIIM), initiated by Embassy of India, Berlin, designed to assist German Mittelstand companies and family owned enterprises in entering the Indian market. In addition, you will learn about the current status of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial corridor (DMIC) and few cross border investment efforts and their outcomes in selected case studies prepared by faculty and students of HHL.
