The 1st EY Public Value Award places the public value of entrepreneurship at the center of attention and wants to inspire entrepreneurs to reflect on their own contribution to society or – in other words – the common good. Does the invention increase mobility and allow for a higher quality of life? Does the app make everyday life easier? Does the business model contribute to the common good? The award is to reflect on these and other ideas and to honor them.
The award serves start-ups as a USP and a great way to connect with investors and other stakeholders. By being judged by a jury of experts from politics, the economy and science, including, i.e. Dr. Arend Oetker, Ralph Wiegmann (iF), Kathrin Weiß (tausendkind), Lea Lange (JUNIQE) and Ingmar Ackermann (Acxit Capital Partners), start-ups also get an external opinion about their public value. The finalists will present their business ideas in a short pitch to a panel of judges and the audience at HHL on October 27, 2016, the day of the award ceremony.
If you want to attend the award ceremony as a guest, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You are invited to meet the participating start-ups and our judges there.
